Advanced Dental Technology

Our state-of-the-art Bellevue dental office uses the most advanced dental technology.

Digital X-Ray

Bellevue Digital X-Ray We use digital x-rays, which has significant advantages over film-based radiography, including far less radiation and greater efficiency.

There is no need for processing in a darkroom. Images quickly appear on the computer monitors in our treatment rooms, and they can be instantly viewed by our doctor.

Plus digital x-rays allow the doctor to get a much better view of your teeth and potential dental conditions. The digital imaging software allows the doctor to see a number of different views of the tooth to gain a better understanding of the proper course of management.

Surgybone Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Bone Surgery

Bellevue Surgybone In order to place an implant that will be most successful, it may be necessary to modify the jawbone to create the most ideal site to receive the implant. Piezosurgery is often used to perform those surgeries that are needed.

Piezosurgery is a recently developed system for cutting bone without damaging soft tissue using ultrasonic micro-vibrations. Developed for use in Oral Surgery, Implantology, and Periodontics, this innovative technology allows doctors to perform procedures that were not previously possible.

Traditional methods of bone-cutting (i.e.: drills and burs) can result in some tissue and bone loss no matter how careful and precise the doctor may be. Piezosurgery eliminates this risk. Instead of drilling, Piezosurgery uses ultrasonic vibrations produced by a special surgical instrument to achieve unparalleled precision and patient comfort.

We are able to perform procedures such as extractions, crown lengthening, periodontal therapy, and implant site preparation with increased accuracy and minimal discomfort. Leading doctors across the country are achieving consistently positive results using Piezosurgery. Patients are seeing amazing results with faster healing time, less swelling, and less post-operative pain!

Platelet-Rich-Fibrin (PRF)

Bellevue PRP Our blood has many beneficial components for wound healing and regeneration of vital tissues. Among these components, platelets and growth factors are centrifuged and collected for oral surgery such as implant, extraction, and bone graft.

This aggregate of platelets and growth factors are called “Platelet-Rich-Fibrin (PRF)”.

The PRF allows doctors to help patients for faster healing process and better surgical outcomes.

Bellevue VELscope The VELscope® Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System centers on a handheld scope that is used by dentists to help visualize oral tissue abnormalities, including cancer and pre-cancer.

The VELscope® Vx system is an adjunctive device which means it must be used together with and as a supplement to the traditional intra and extraoral head and neck exam. Unlike other adjunctive devices used for oral examinations, the VELscope® Vx does not require any dyes or prolonged testing procedures. In fact, a VELscope® Vx exam can be performed in our Bellevue dentist's office during a routine hygiene exam in about two minutes.

Bellevue Medifuge The Silfradent Medifuge MF200 is a dedicated medical plasma centrifuge. It is designed to prepare autologous concentrated growth factor (CGF) and CD 34 + cells using patient's own blood wich is the ideal autologous source without the addition of exogenous substances. CGF represents a new generation of platelet that able to hold inside a higher concentration of autologus.

Growth factors are proteins which regulate the complex processes of wound healing and enhance the body's healing abilities without side-effects. The Medifuge prepares up to 8 test tubes of various levels of concentrate with active proteins in liquified or Fibrin form to create membranes, glue or other particulars for tissue regeneration and bone augmentation in a short period of 12 minutes.

Enriched Bone Graft Matrix (Sticky Bone)

Bellevue Sticky bone Implant supported dental restorations have become a major option in the treatment of edentulous alveolar ridge for the past several decades. Extensive loss of alveolar bone presents a complex challenge for reconstruction. Numerous augmentation techniques are currently in use to create sufficient bone volume for reliable placement of endosseous implants in severely resorbed edentulous alveolar ridges. In order to accelerate healing of bone graft over the bony defect, numerous techniques utilizing platelet and fibrinogen concentrations have been introduced in the literature.

PRF and CGF can be used as alternative to traditional barrier membrane over bone graft, therefore acceleration of tissue regeneration is acquired. Unlike PRF using constant centrifugation speed, CGF utilizes altered centrifugation speed to produce much larger, denser and richer fibrin matrix containing growth factors. A new concept of fabricating growth factors-enriched bone graft matrix (also known as “sticky bone”) using autologous fibrin glue has been demonstrated since 2010. Sticky bone provides stabilization of bone graft in the defect, and therefore, accelerates tissue healing and minimizes bone loss during healing period. This report presents the method of preparing and utilizing CGF and sticky bone, and clinical cases that support its use.
